Alan Gross, PharmD, FCCP, BCIDP, BCPS, is the pharmacist lead for the antimicrobial stewardship program at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System and is Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy. Dr. Gross received his PharmD from Purdue University and subsequently completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Henry Ford Hospital and a PGY2 infectious diseases residency at Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy. He currently serves as past chair for the SIDP Policy and Government Affairs committee and previously served as chair for the SIDP Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. His primary research interests include the measurement of outcomes related to antimicrobial stewardship interventions as well as the epidemiology and treatment of respiratory tract infections. He serves on multiple editorial boards and is co-editor of the ACCP Infectious Diseases Self-Assessment Program.
