Colonel Markus Gmehlin currently serves as the Chief of TRICARE pharmacy program for the Department of Defense at the Defense Health Agency, in Falls Church, Va. In this role, he leads the delivery of a $10 billion annual program to the 9.5 million beneficiaries of the Military Health System. The over 125 million annual prescriptions are delivered through over 56,000 network retail pharmacies, almost 700 military Medical Treatment Facility pharmacies, and through a global mail order delivery platform.
