Maria Lopez Pharm.D, AAHIVP is the founder and President of Mission Wellness Pharmacy. Dr. Lopez led the first community pharmacy pilot program in California for pharmacists conducting point of care Hepatitis C testing (2016) and in 2018 the implementation of a pharmacists’ initiated PrEP program with the San Francisco Department of Public health and is a consultant under the CDC Capacity Building Assistance Program. Dr. Lopez has spoken on various pharmacy related topics to stakeholders in healthcare and pharmacy at the state and national level. Her work has been published in peer reviewed journals and she holds voluntary Professor appointments at UCSF and Touro Schools of Pharmacy.
