Dr. Stephan L. Foster, retired as a Captain from the US Public Health Service in 1998. Dr. Foster, a strong advocate for the pharmacist's role in public health, has served as the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) liaison representative on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) since 2001. He is a national faculty and writer with APhA's Pharmacy-based Immunization Certificate Training Program and has been a featured speaker and author in many immunization education programs. Dr. Foster retired as a professor from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 2016, however continues his consulting work in the area of vaccines. He is curently serving on the Stakeholders Committee for the Tennessee Health Department as an advisor for the COVID19 vaccine.
