Terry graduated from UGA College of Pharmacy in April 1978. After graduating he immediately purchased his first pharmacy in Cleveland, TN and by 1990 had acquired or opened 7 pharmacies including retail, LTC and infusion entities. He currently still operates 2 retail/compounding pharmacies in Cleveland, TN and Dalton, GA and a new concept pharmacy partnering with physician practices to address transition of care, chronic care, obesity & adherence/compliance. In 2005 Terry purchased the Take Charge Pharmacist Lifestyle, Health & Nutrition System which currently is utilized in more than 600 pharmacies in 39 states. Terry directed a team of computer experts from 2010-2017 to develop the Lifestyle IQ Body Composition Analyzer/Patient Care Computer, which is the centerpiece for outcomes production for the Take Charge Program. Today the Take Charge Program is the only weight loss/lifestyle program in the nation to focus on independent pharmacists as health coaches and to provide outcomes data to prove the impact these pharmacists can have on obesity, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia and CVD.
